The ABC's and 1-2-3's of Spinning a Bruce Charles Schulte Top

We thought we'd highlight the basic how to's for successfully spinning a Bruce Charles Schulte top.

Step 1 - Make sure the surface you're spinning on is level! If it's an uneven surface or a surface with ridges or grooves, your top won't spin very successfully!

Step 2 - Place your Schulte top on the surface before spinning it. Hold your Schulte top with your index finger and thumb. Our Schulte tops have a knurled upper top for better grip and extra torque. For beginners, grip lower down on the stem of the top. For more advanced top spinners, hold higher up on the stem.

Step 3 - Rotate your index finger and thumb in a snapping motion (like you're snapping your fingers).

Check out this video for an example on how to spin!

And there ya go! It's easy as 1-2-3. But don't worry if you don't get it the first time. Keep at it! The length of your spin depends on your skill level, the weight of the top, and your spinning surface. A perfectly upright and seemingly motionless spin takes practice. And the more you practice, the longer your spin time will get! Happy spinning!!!
